As managing director Sabrina Heike Kessler is in charge of operations at fög - Forschungszentrum Öffentlichkeit und Gesellschaft of the University of Zurich. She deals with finances, personell, infrastructure and internal processes. She is responsible for reports, coordinates fundraising activities and is in charge of internal and external communications. Additionally she is responsible for the planning and coordination of the "Yearbook Quality of the Media".

Next to her role as managing director Sabrina Heike Kessler is a communication scientist and researcher. Her research topics are in the areas of science and health communication, digital information usage and effects, disinformation as well as generative artificial initelligence and AI competencies. A special focal point of her research is the question as to how people search, choose, rate and digest digital, AI-generated (dis-)information. 

Prior to her time at fög Sabrina Heike Kessler was a research assistant at the institute for communication science and media research (IKMZ) at the University of Zurich. Before that she worked as a scientific worker at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. She obtained her PhD in communicaton science and is highly experienced in research, teaching, science communication and leadership of interdisciplinary research and transfer projects.
